This little threepence dates to 1941. Maybe it was once spent at the local shop, tucked into someone's pocket or even hidden inside the family Christmas plum pudding.

We'll never know, and I think that's part of what makes these old pieces so special.

It has already survived more than 80 years. Now it can be worn and remembered rather than tucked away and forgotten.
