Sometimes I put a few bits and pieces together on my workbench and think, well, that's an interesting combination!This little 1967 Australian one cent coin was one of those.

I loved the green patina on the Greek disc, and once I added the old copper coloured coin, the silver setting and that little touch of gold, it all just worked.

Four different colours, a mix of textures and a coin that's been around for nearly 60 years.

Who would have thought an old one cent piece could look this cute?

Once loose change. Now something worth keeping.
