Some patterns just refuse to be forgotten.

The moment I spotted this old spoon handle, I knew exactly why it had survived all these years. 

Tiny Forget-Me-Nots, still just as beautiful today as when they first left the silversmith's workshop.

The handle has been transformed into a band ring; those little flowers wrap around the finger instead of sitting on a dining table. I often find myself wondering who owned pieces like this before they found their way to my workshop. Were they brought out for special occasions? Given as a gift? Part of a treasured family collection?

We'll never know for sure, but the flowers remain.
